Graduation Requirements for Master of Applied Statistics

For the Master of Applied Statistics degree, a minimum of 30 points and a minimum grade point average of 3 are required for someone pursuing Master of Applied Statistics to graduate. Of the 30 points, 24 must be of courses from the Statistical department and 21 must also be at the 500 level.  In addition to the above degree standards, all concurrent degree students and transfer students within Penn State universities are required to take at least 12 of the 30 points after admission into the Master of Applied Statistics program. The Master of Applied Statistics program at University Park can be completed in four complete semesters. That maybe a winter, spring, winter, spring sequence or a summer, winter, spring, summer sequence, depending on the needs of the student pursuing Master of Applied Statistics.
